Chelsea, London
Amelia's apartment is a 2-bedroom flat in Chelsea, located close to Sloane Square tube station. Master bedroom can be reached through a walk-in closet; the en suite bathroom has only a shower but the guest/main bathroom holds a large bathtub.
There is no separate dining room; instead there is a small dining table for four at the corner of the living room that is mostly used to hold clutter or a laptop, instead of food. The puffy, dark navy couch is what takes up most of the space and is also where Amy spends most of her time, whether she reads, works or eats. There is a flat screen TV tucked into the corner of the room. It is used either for background noise or one of Amy's panel show comfort-binge-watch phases. Her bedroom has the least amount of furniture, hosting nothing but her bed, two bedside tables, a chest of drawers and an armchair that usually holds clothes to be put away. The guest bedroom holds a day bed that was used as a guest bed for the first few years, however it can currently be described as "where intentions come to die". Dresses that Amy intended to mend and restore but never did, books that were supposed to be used for patterns but failed to make it to the priority cut, clothes that were supposed to be donated or sold and forgotten, clothes that her friends left in her flat, clothes that she has borrowed but forgot to return, a few toys that her cousins lost under her couch and never retrieved, spare sewing machine parts, spare fabrics, and a dress form now beyond anyone's reach... It is lovingly known as the "Room of Doom" by her nearest and dearest. The built in wardrobe is speculated to hold the entrance to Narnia, although Nicky believes it actually leads to a secret tenth circle of hell. |
